Spero Winery Fundraiser!
North Metro Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind of Colorado
Congratulations to the North Metro Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind of Colorado for hosting a superb evening of food, fun, great company, and of course exceptional wine! With over 30 guests in attendance, the North Metro chapter was able to raise approximately $1,000.00 to support the work of their chapter.
The evening kicked off with introductions and remarks from June, one of the owners of Spero winery and Michelle, the president of the North Metro Chapter. June invited everyone to begin sampling the 19 wines offered by Spero winery.
From that point forward, the wine flowed freely. June and her staff served an excellent assortment of cheese and crackers, over 15 antipasti dishes, and two excellent main dishes. If that was not enough to fill every stomach in the room three times, strawberries with dipping sauce and cookies were served for dessert. The food was as plentiful and delicious as the wine!
Throughout the night, the North Metro chapter gave away outstanding door prizes including two bottles of wine donated by Spero Winery, jewelry, zoo passes, haircuts, and more! The lovely Michelle Chacon drew the winning tickets!
The Spero winery was offered a phenomenal atmosphere for fun and fellowship! The greatest testament to the quality of wine was the number of bottles that went home with guests. Most everyone in attendance had to take home at least one bottle. At one point, the line of people making purchases was all the way to the door!
In the van going back to the Colorado Center for the Blind in Littleton, there was non stop talk about the next wine tasting! Everyone agreed that we cannot wait to go back to Spero Winery for another event!
