The American Council of the Blind (ACB) annually awards approximately twenty scholarships ranging in amounts from $1,000 to $2,500 to vocational, entering freshmen, undergraduate and graduate college students who are legally blind, maintain a 3.3 GPA and are involved in their school/local community.

Council of
Citizens with Low Vision International (CCLVI)
The
Council of Citizens with Low Vision International offers two scholarship
programs.
The Fred Scheigert Scholarship Program: This competitive scholarship awards three (3) students an individual prize of $3000 annually. Applicants must be full-time college students with low vision, chosen from among those who meet the visual acuity and academic guidelines.
Guidelines, Application and Certification of Low Vision forms and the on-line application are available at http://www.cclvi.org/scholarship.htm. The application must be completed online. The required CCLVI Certification of Low Vision form may be downloaded and completed between June and February.

The Carl Foley Graduate Scholarship Program:
This program is for graduate students attending one of several colleges and universities which offer a degree in the field of low vision. Applicants need not be visually impaired. Application is made through the school directly.
If your college or university has a program in the field of low vision and is not currently recognized, contact CCLVI so that a questionnaire can be sent to the school to determine if the program qualifies for the provisions of the Carl Foley Scholarship.
